Ensure of Integrity for the outsourced data is a challenging task for the Cloud users who does not physically possess their data. The “provable data possession” and “proofs of retrievability” schemes are designed to address this problem, but they are designed to audit static archive data and therefore lack of data dynamics support.

The existing threat models usually assume an honest data owner and focus on detecting a dishonest cloud service provider despite the fact that clients may also misbehave. The proposed system provides a public auditing scheme with data dynamics support and fairness arbitration of potential disputes.Dynamic and Public Auditing with Fair Arbitration for Cloud Data.

The proposed system also provides a design of an index switcher to eliminate the limitation of index usage in tag computation in current schemes and to achieve efficient handling of data dynamics. By extending the existing threat models and by adopting the signature exchange idea to design fair arbitration protocol, the fairness problem is solved so, that all parties can be detected before misbehaving, so that any possible dispute can be fairly settled.

The security analysis shows that the proposed scheme is provably secure, and the performance evaluation demonstrates the overhead of data dynamics and dispute arbitration is reasonable.
